Unlike the other committees, whose members will be recommended by the Nominating Committee for appointment by the Board of Directors, the members of the Member Engagement and Services Committee (MESC), which is seen as the direct voice for the members, Chapters and Regions, are elected directly by OACETT Certified members in good standing – there will be one committee member elected for each region.  

Candidates for the MESC were invited to apply between April 14 and April 27, there were 16 applications in total.  In the Northern region, Abin Sebastian John, C.Tech. was the only applicant and he will therefore be acclaimed and there will be no election in the Northern region.  At this time, there is no candidate from the Western region and the Nominating Committee is working on identifying an appropriate candidate for appointment.  So, there will be no election in the Western Region either. 

That means there will be elections for the committee members from the Central, Eastern, Horseshoe and Toronto regions.  To view the candidates for the Central, Eastern, Horseshoe and Toronto regions please click on the hyperlinked regions.
