Lean Six Sigma is a methodology that relies on a team based problem solving or process improvements to improve an organization’s performance by removing inefficiencies, roadblocks, bottlenecks, and by reducing variation. It combines Lean (Toyota Production System) and Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies. Lean Six Sigma is in great demand across all sectors, especially in service, healthcare, and the public sector. Many organizations are looking for Lean Six Sigma certified professionals.

Please note, the Yellow Belt training is open to those who have already completed their White Belt training.
The two day Yellow Belt training overview:
  • Complete some pre-work before the training
  • Lego Simulation (2 Rounds) – Basics of LEAN Six Sigma will be learned through this game
  • Lean Daily Management – Hoshin Kanri or Strategic Alignment, Voice of Customer, Voice of Customer, Key Services or Processes, Key Performance Indicators, Huddle Boards, Huddle Meetings and Leader Standard Work
  • Lean Management and Philosophies - 5 Principles of Lean, House of Toyota (Standardization, JIT, Jidoka, Kaizen and Respect for People)
  • Small Process Improvements and Basic Problem Solving – Kaizen Forms and 5 Why Analysis
  • Basic Statistics (Measure of Central Tendency)
  • 7 Quality Control Tools, also known as 7 Samurais (Pareto, Process Map, Fishbone, Check Sheet, Histogram, Control Chart and Scatter Diagram)
  • Process Improvement Methodology- LEAN OR KAIZEN Events
  • Problem Solving or Root Cause Analysis Methodology- TOYOTA & HONDA A3 THINKING or Six Sigma DMAIC
  • Trainees will be able to apply all the lessons into their own processes and problems
  • An Open book exam
To earn your Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification, you will have to complete the following:
  1. 4 hours of pre-work (trainer will send these 3 days ahead of the training)
  2. 8 hours of Day 1 training
  3. 8 hours of Day 2 training and a simple open book test
  4. 4 hours of post-work

Date: Saturday, March 28, 2020 & Saturday April 4, 2020

           **Please note that the Yellow Belt training is a 2 day course, the first day is the 22nd and the second day is the 29th,                    you will need to be there both days to receive the certificate**

Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm both Saturdays

           Breakfast is served at 8:00am, and training starts at 8:30am sharp

Place: Residence Inn By Marriott, 55 Courtney Park Drive West, Mississauga

Price: For OACETT members, the price is $500.00, plus tax. It includes the cost of training material, templates, case studies, breakfast, lunch and free parking for both the days

The event, " Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training" will count towards the OACETT CPD program as one activity under the Technical Knowledge category.  
For supporting documentations, members are required to keep a copy of the certificate of attendance and prepare a written summary of what learned.
