TAC is Seeking an OACETT member to Volunteer as an Industry Representative on their Board of Directors

Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) is looking for OACETT member nominations for the position of Industry Representative on their Board of Direcotrs.
Are you an energetic and enthusiastic individual who supports the value of accreditation and sees a strong link between accreditation, certification, and industry? Then consider putting your name forward for this volunteer opportunity.
What TAC is looking for:
Technicians, technologists, and applied science subject-matter-experts in the following disciplines: architectural, biomedical, bioscience, biotechnology, civil, chemical, computer systems, electrical, electronics, electromechanical, environmental, forestry, industrial, information technology, instrumentation, marine, mechanical, mineral resources, naval architecture, petroleum, renewable resource, survey/geomatics, and power systems.

What’s Involved:
- Four board meetings are held each year, and three are virtual.
- For the virtual board meetings, the time commitment is less than ten (10) hours per month.
- For 2023, the in-person session is being held in Ontario over a two-day period for the purposes of strategic planning. TAC will pay travel and accommodation.
- For all other months, the time commitment is approximately two (2) hours a month for the review of TAC updates sent to the Board by staff.
