The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists

Vaccine eligibility for OACETT members under Ontario three-phase plan

The current provincial plan allows technicians and technologists that cannot work from home in specific industries to book their vaccines through an online portal.

Although Ontario’s vaccine rollout plan is constantly evolving as municipalities change their approach, the current provincial plan allows technicians and technologists that cannot work from home in specific industries to book their vaccines through the provincial booking portal.

More detailed information can be found under Phase 2 of the COVID-19 Vaccination Distribution Plan.  Phase 2 vaccination groups include essential workers who cannot work from home but are integral to the ongoing function of the economy, such as critical infrastructure and essential goods producers.  Members are encouraged to refer to page 19 of the Phase 2 distribution plan, which focuses on groups identified as Primary Priority and Secondary Priority for vaccination. Additionally, page 35 of the Vaccination Distribution Plan includes an attestation form which can be completed by an essential worker seeking vaccination. The form must be accompanied by additional documentation such as a work ID card, employment letter, etc.

As the vaccine supplies are being ramped up and changing constantly, OACETT is committed to keeping its members informed of ongoing vaccine supply and requirements as they become available.
