Volunteer for the Governance Task Force
Do you have experience serving in a senior volunteer capacity for OACETT and/or other not-for-profit organizations?
Do you have specific expertise in not-for-profit governance?
If so, OACETT needs YOU! Your Council is forming a Task Force to review the governance, by-law and policy framework of OACETT in the interest of modernization and establishing the system that best supports the strategic objectives of your association. A copy of the terms of reference for the task force can be found here.
Two members at large are sought to serve on the task force who must meet the following criteria:
- A certified member in good standing
- Significant experience with and knowledge of volunteer governance models (not necessarily limited to OACETT)
- Ability to commit to the full term of the mandate
As an inclusive community, we strongly encourage nominations by women in technology, people of all ages, and individuals who represent the rich cultural diversity of Ontario.
Nominations should include:
- your name and membership number, or that of the individual you are nominating
- up to 800 words about how you or the individual meet the criteria (in particular the experience with volunteer governance)
- a copy of the nominee’s current resume.
