Welcome Quinte Chapter Members

Welcome to the Quinte Chapter of OACETT (Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologist)! We are excited that you joined OACETT invite you to become a member of our Quinte Chapter committee and event opportunities. The Quinte Chapter’s current membership is approximately +/-340 members, and the overall OACETT Association is currently over 25,000 members.
 
You are invited and encouraged to be involved in our Quinte Chapter 1st Annual National Engineering Month Open House and Symposium. We are looking for more interested technicians and technologists from all disciplines to participate in March 2018. We have approached a local Highschool and Loyalist College regarding venue options. Tables may become limited so please contact me at quinte-chapter@oacett.org subject “OACETT – NEM 2018” if you are interested in partaking in this community event and exposure opportunity.
 
We are also returning as judges for the QRSTF (Quinte Regional Science and Technology Fair) on 7th April 2017. We select a worthy participant between grade 4-8 for our “Most Innovative Application of Technology” special award. The judging portion of the event runs from morning to afternoon and one executive presents at the ceremony in the evening.  We missed our OACETT presentation and Meet and Greet at Loyalist that we were planning this fall 2017. The opportunity may still arise. Please watch for emails and monitor the web updates. We are also looking forward to a couple of potential Plant Tours; we will forward details with R.S.V.P. via email.

For 2018 we will continue holding meetings at Loyalist College in room 3H11, at 6:00pm on the 3rd Monday of the month as scheduled, unless otherwise specified. These meeting are for chapter members, for management and development, questions and discussions. This is a chance for members and students to get involved and see what is going on in the Chapter. Questions and concerns are forwarded if we are unable answer directly.

Additional Executive Meetings will be held as required to cover special circumstances, event organizing, forward planning and intermediate meeting preparations. We always encourage input and ideas for current and future events activities for the Chapter. Being involved with your OACETT Quinte Chapter provides opportunities for self-development, professional networking, expanding your horizons and helping strengthen the chapter.

Become involved, make a difference in the world of technology with the Chapter. If you are interested in getting any information about our Chapter, please contact the Chair of the Quinte Chapter executive as indicated. We look forward to meeting you with our active Chapter and executive.
