Certified Members
CPD cycles are always three years long. They always begin on January 1st and end on December 31st three years later. Your first CPD cycle will start on the January 1st following your certification. For example, if you were certified in 2022, your first CPD cycle will begin January 1 2023 and end December 31 2025. Your next CPD cycle will begin January 1 2026.
To check your CPD cycle, log into the OACETT member portal (click Login at the top of the page) and select CPD from the main menu.

Your Certification Timeline |
Your First 3-Year Cycle |
Your Second 3-Year Cycle |
Prior to July 1, 2005 |
If you are an Associate and joined OACETT prior to July 1, 2005, then you were not assigned a certification timeline and were assigned to the first 3-year cycle. |
January 1, 2016 – December 31, 2018 |
January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2021 |
Between July 1, 2005 and December 31, 2015
Associate members have been assigned certification timelines since July 1, 2005. |
If you are an Associate member and have not met your assigned timeline of January 1, 2019, you will be given a 6-month grace period. If your certification timeline and 6-month grace period have expired, and you have still not become certified, then a 3-year CPD cycle will be assigned. |
January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2022 |
January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2025 |
Within the Last 3 or 6 years |
If you are still within your assigned 3 or 6-year certification timeline, then you are exempt from CPD for the time being. |

For example, if you became an Associate member on September 8, 2009, and your certification timeline and grace period have expired, and you are still not certified by December 31, 2019, then you will be assigned to the next CPD cycle, which runs January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2022.
Another example, if you became an Associate member on March 4, 2020, and were assigned a 6 year certification timeline, then you are currently not required to complete continuing professional development.
