The Canadian Technical Employment Network (CTEN) has proven itself as an invaluable resource to OACETT members who are looking for a career move.
CTEN is maintained and hosted by OACETT as it's flagship employment service for it's members. Although CTEN was developed by and for OACETT, members from all of Canada's provincial technology associations have access to it. With all of these associations encouraging employers from their province to use CTEN, it has become a very popular place to find highly qualified technology professionals.
Members may visit CTEN and after verifying their membership and registering as a CTEN user, they are able to view jobs and/or post a skills profile on line. This skills profile is used when employers search for qualified candidates based on their posting. The skills profile may be registered anonymously if desired.
Employers may visit CTEN and after registering a user account they may post as many positions as they like. Once a job has been posted, they have the option of continuing on to search the online profiles to see if there is a match.
