Message from the Chapter Chair
Welcome to the Near North Chapter.
The Near North Chapter stretches from the Severn River in the south, to Temiskaming Shores in the north and from Mattawa in the east, to Verner in the west. Our three primary population centres are the City of North Bay, the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound District.
The Near North Chapter currently has approximately 440 members with:
- Predominant disciplines being: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, Building Science and Bio-Technical.
- 60% are located in close proximity to North Bay
- 40% reside in Muskoka and Parry Sound
- 72% of Members are Certified – C.E.T., C.Tech or AScT
- Approximately 10% of Chapter Members are Female.
The Near North Chapter actively promotes and supports our Members by way of Annual Professional Networking Outreach, Engagement and Professional Development activities and events, which include.
