Message from the Chapter Chair
Welcome to the Grey-Bruce OACETT chapter webpage. My name is Matthew Aston, C.E.T., LET, MBA, Chapter Chair for the 2024-2025 term. I appreciate you have visiting this webpage and, on behalf of our whole Executive, we welcome the opportunity to get to know you better and discuss the Grey-Bruce OACETT Chapter.
Grey-Bruce is a great part of Ontario in which to work, grow and play. We are very fortunate to be surrounded by amazing natural topography. We have access to kilometres of shoreline along sandy Lake Huron and deep blue Georgian Bay, and we’re home to the north end of the Bruce Trail and the Dundalk Highlands, the highest elevation in Southern Ontario. Our local Conservation Authorities boast such destinations for enjoyment as Inglis Falls, Sulphur Spring and Denny’s Dam.
Grey-Bruce has many industry sectors whose success depends on the technical skills that OACETT members bring to the workforce. These industries include local governments, manufacturers, construction and aggregate corporations, and consulting firms. As OACETT members, we bring a specific, established and trusted skill set to the market which can support our employer’s success while ensuring public safety remains paramount.
The chapter is planning an exciting 2024-2025 term. This year we are pleased to welcome several new members to the Executive team to help us “think outside the box” and deliver social and technical events locally for the membership to attend. We will be looking for your input, interest and support as we plan these events, so please watch for emails or check back here often. We hope you can take the time to consider coming out to an event this term; we look forward to meeting you!

New volunteers are always welcome, and you gain CPD credits by being involved in your association!
