The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists
2020-2021 Term: Grey-Bruce Chapter

Welcome to the Grey-Bruce OACETT chapter web-portal.  My name is Matthew Aston, C.E.T., LET, Chapter Chair for the 2019-2020 term.  I am glad you have visited the website and, I speak for the Executive, in that we would welcome the opportunity to discuss OACETT and/or Grey-Bruce OACETT Chapter more.

Grey-Bruce is a great location to work and play.  We are fortunate to have access to Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, as well as the north-end of the Bruce trail and the Dundalk Highlands, the highest elevation in Southern Ontario.  We stretch from Tobermory in the north to Hanover-Kincardine-Mount Forest in the south.  I only mention Mount Forest because that is my home, it is truly in Wellington County, but we have many Wellington and Huron County folks who identify more with the Grey-Bruce chapter.

Grey-Bruce has many industry sectors that require both technical and technology expertise to be successful including local distribution companies, local governments and manufacturers.  As OACETT members, we bring a specific and defined set of skills to the market, which support these sectors, community and corporations being successful, all the while ensuring public safety remains paramount in decision making.

The chapter is planning an exciting 2019-2020, keeping in mind, people are busy and have lots of commitments.  We hope you can take the time to consider coming out to an event this term and we look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

Matthew Aston, C.E.T., LET, Chapter Chair (greybruce-chapter@oacett.org )
