Associate Members

Check the table below for the start and end dates for your 3-year CPD cycle.  Pay attention to your certification timeline.

Year You Became a Member Your Certification Timeline Your First 3-Year Cycle Your Second 3-Year Cycle
Prior to July 1, 2005 If you are an Associate and joined OACETT prior to July 1, 2005, then you were not assigned a certification timeline and were assigned the first 3-year cycle. January 1, 2016 – December 31, 2018 January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2021
Between July 1, 2005 and December 31, 2015

Associate members have been assigned certification timelines since July 1, 2005.
If you are an Associate member and have not met your assigned timeline of January 1, 2019, you will be given a 6-month grace period.  If your certification timeline and 6-month grace period have expired, and you have still not become certified, then a 3-year CPD cycle will be assigned. January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2022 January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2025
Within the Last 3 or 6 years If you are still within your assigned 3 or 6-year certification timeline, then you are exempt from CPD for the time being.

You can download a tracking sheet by here.

For example, if you became an Associate member September 8, 2009, and your certification timeline and grace period have expired, and you are still not certified by December 31, 2019, then you will be assigned to the next CPD cycle, which runs January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2022.

Another example, if you became an Associate member on March 4, 2017, and were assigned a 3—year certification timeline, then you are currently not required to complete continuing professional development.
