Strategic Priority Overview

Compliance and Standards

Ensure the activities of the individual members, boards, committees, council etc are in agreement with OACETTs governing standards, code of ethics, regulations, and bylaws.

Support education and discipline activities to ensure the members comply with the code of ethics.

Maintain an active complaints and discipline committee. Prosecute misuse of title offenders and those failing to meet our governance standards, code of ethics, regulations and bylaws.

Provide a process for members to ladder up.

E-Association

Provide the infrastructure and education of OACETT members to allow electronic interface through the web portal with OACETT Corporate office, its Council, Boards, Chapters, and members at large.

Ensure the use of relevant technology in everyday applications at OACETT to provide faster, better quality service.

Professional Development

Assist our members with developing and tracking their own individual professional development activities to; enhance their own careers and assist the public, as our members will be kept current with technology and standards.

Promote collaboration with; industry partners, educational sectors, and other like-minded associations in delivering Professional Development to our members.

Corporate/Employer (College) Outreach

Promote the OACETT Brand to employers, colleges and perspective members.

Provide the value proposition of why its important for employers to hire certified members and encourage their existing employees to become certified.

Promote to prospective/current members the importance of joining OACETT and becoming a Certified Professional in their field of endeavor.

Government Relations

Develop win-win relationships with Government to ensure we have an active voice at the table whenever new legislation is developed.

Promote and protect our members Qualified Person Status.

Undertake activities that support our long term ambition for Right to Practise.

Succession Planning/Member Engagement

Undertake activities to ensure appropriate, qualified, member representation at chapter, board and council levels of OACETT.

Ensure we have knowledgeable, quality volunteers in all areas that will lead with forward thinking and continue to provide the service members expect.
