Did you allow your membership to lapse?
Do you want to join again?
You may apply for reinstatement if you resigned or the association withdrew your membership within the last five years. Include your name, OACETT membership number and address information and send an e-mail to April Parnell, Admissions Coordinator. If you meet all of the requirements, we will mail the application form to you. You must meet all other conditions and will be reinstated only to titles and designations that we currently have in use. If you were certified prior to the Professional Practice Exam (PPE) becoming a certification requirement, you will need to now pass the PPE within six months of reinstatement.
Please consult the OACETT fee schedule for the current reinstatement fee.
The reinstatement fee is non-refundable whether the application is accepted or denied. OACETT's acceptance of the fee does not constitute acceptance of your reinstatement.
When the Institute of Engineering Technology of Ontario (IETO) approves your application, the association will invoice you for the annual dues for the current year.
If it has been more than five years since your membership lapsed, you must apply through the normal application process as a new applicant. OACETT cannot guarantee that you will receive the same designation you held before.
If you were suspended or expelled from the association for disciplinary or other reasons, you may apply for reinstatement of membership according to clause 2.7 of the OACETT By-law.
