OACETT's Pandemic Preparedness and Response Plan

OACETT has a Pandemic Preparedness and Response Plan to protect staff and ensure continued service to members. 

Introduction 

To minimize impacts on staff, and to ensure continued service to our members and stakeholders, OACETT has developed a Pandemic Preparedness and Response Plan. Impacts of a pandemic cannot be fully known in advance therefore this Plan provides guidance to Senior Management and is flexible. Should implementation of the Plan be required, the guidelines will be combined with advice and recommendations from recognized health organizations. As well, the Plan is supplemented with prioritized department essential service lists and external supplier contact information.

Activation of control measures may be in stages and in an order that best responds to the changing conditions, as the flu spreads.

Key sections of the plan are Surveillance & Preparation Tasks (monitoring health organization reports and changing conditions), Activation and Response (implementing suitable control measures), Recovery (getting back to normal) and Maintenance / updating of the Plan (priorities are dynamic).
