Depending on your discipline, the industry you work in and your specific company, typical salary expectations are as follows:

Graduation $35,000 to $43,000
5 Years Experience $43,000 to $47,000
10 Years Experience $47,000 to $59,000

The chart below shows the Total Cash Compensation amounts received by OACETT members who responded to our survey questionnaire. This includes their base annual salary and other remuneration such as cash bonuses, commissions, consulting fees, overtime, and profit share.

The following chart provides detailed compensation results by 35 Industry sectors. Among these industry sectors, the highest median incomes were earned by employees in Petroleum ($78,200); Pulp & Paper ($73,450); Heavy Electrical ($71,500); and Public Utilities ($71,100).

The lowest total cash medians were in both the non-manufacturing and public sectors: Building Design ($46,250); the Provincial Government and agencies ($53,000), and Environmental Services ($54,000).
